What Gistify It stores
Your email address and an account identifier, which run sign-in and your usage quota. A scrambled fingerprint of your computer, kept only so free runs are counted per computer as well as per account: the app hashes two identifiers on your machine before sending them, the server hashes them again, and nothing stored can be turned back into your computer's own identifier. Each finished note and its listing, for 120 days or until you delete it, so a run can be recovered and reaches your other machines.
What it does not store
Anything you paste or upload: the text, transcript, article, PDF, or images that made a note. They stay on your machine. The one exception is the pattern run you start yourself: it sends that content to Azure OpenAI or Google Gemini to produce the note. Neither vendor uses that content to train their models. The note comes back to your machine and your vault, and it is the only thing the account keeps.
Analytics on this website
This website (not the app) uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and improve the site. It does not track you across other websites, and we don't sell that data. If you'd rather not be tracked, most browsers and ad-blocking extensions let you block analytics scripts.
No ads, no selling data
We do not show ads, we do not resell analytics, and we do not sell your data.
Beta data deletion
The private beta ended on 30 September 2026. Beta accounts and their data are deleted before version 1.0 launches. Until then the email address is used for one thing: telling testers when the launch is close. You can ask for deletion at any time by emailing beta-testers@gistify-it.ai.
